When an error follows a change, first record the time, URL, affected account, and steps that reproduce it.
Collect evidence
- Review the PHP error log and WooCommerce status logs.
- Open the browser console for JavaScript errors.
- Confirm whether the issue also occurs on staging.
Isolate the conflict
Use staging or troubleshooting mode, disable the suspected plugin, and re-enable components one at a time. Do not delete a plugin before backing up its configuration and data.
Restore service
If the issue affects payments or accounts, roll back to the previous stable version before continuing root-cause analysis.
